Been binging The Leftovers. All I’ll say is this, most stories – tv shows, movies, books, what have you – dramatize situations for drama. This show brutalizes situations for drama.
Last show I watched was The Outsider, that one started hot out-the-gate, but fizzled during the second act of the season. I like the premise but I feel that the plot and characters were executed poorly.
It got really predictable towards the end, when they were all spelunking.
But that show had the best pilot I’ve seen in terms of grabbing your attention and holding on to it.
I’ll have an update on Matt & Scott tomorrow, maybe…
